A beautiful new park is being planned in South Bakersfield that will include a wall art mural. It will be a collaborative project between the local community, the City of Bakersfield, and the Arts Council of Kern.

Our first Town Hall meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the corner of Linnell Street and Brahma Way to announce and discuss the art project and to receive input from the community, that means you!

Here is what we are looking to accomplished:
   • Discussion for ideas and thoughts that can direct the theme of the mural.
       - Things to think about:
          - What do you want it to say? What do you feel represents your community?
          - What are the top 3 things you would want to  see on the mural?
   • Community impact through input and participation.
       - Are you interested in volunteering your time on the project:
          - Provide your name, email or phone number, and home address.
