Exciting news from The Arts Council of Kern! After a weekend of spirited voting between two captivating murals by Wendy Johnson, “Kern River Valley” has emerged as the clear favorite with a resounding majority of 59.3% of the total 123 responses. We’re thrilled to announce that this winning mural will grace the underpass of Highway 99 on California Avenue, adding a touch of beauty and inspiration to our community.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to cast their votes and help us make this important decision. Your participation has played a pivotal role in shaping the artistic landscape of Kern County, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.
