Start Your Weekend at First Friday ArtWalk!
Every first Friday of the month, Arts Council of Kern hosts ArtWalk in Downtown Bakersfield. Artists and artisans line the streets from the hub at 19th and Eye Streets, showcasing and vending their original works. Downtown shops, restaurants, and live music make for a festive event.
Though Downtown shops normally close early, they stay open late for First Friday.
ArtWalk is the first Friday of the month from 5-9 pm

Lots of tents are set up with Bakersfield locals selling their products. Most of the products sold are art pieces and handmade items.

enjoyed First Friday by peeking at what all the vendors had to sell. Every tent had something different; you could talk to the vendor more about their product.
