Hosted by the Arts Council of Kern, the ArtWalk will showcase a diverse array of talents, featuring artists, artisans, and vendors, creating a dynamic atmosphere for attendees. Engage in hands-on experiences such as jewelry making and storytelling, making this event a unique and enriching way to celebrate the month of creativity!
ArtWalk takes place in downtown Bakersfield on the first Friday of every month, from October through June.

What is ArtWalk?
ArtWalk offers artists and artisans an opportunity to display and sell their works, and/or
demonstrate their crafts (handmade or designed by the artists.)
When is ArtWalk Held?
ArtWalk takes place on the First Friday of the month in downtown Bakersfield.
Does The Location Change Every Month?
For now, we’re located on the corners of 18th and N Street, Sept-June
What is The Size of a Space?
Spaces are 10’x5’. There must be room for ArtWalk attendees to walk past your space
safely. No obstructions, please.
Does it Cost to Participate? How Much?
A permit is required at $35 per month. You may purchase more than one month at a time.
You may purchase a maximum of 2 10×5 spaces ($35 each) at each ArtWalk.
Can I Reserve the Same Spot Every Month?
If you purchase 6 months or more, you may reserve your spot.
How Are Spaces Allocated?
Other than spaces designated for 6 months or more, spaces are assigned upon registration.
Is Anything Provided?
The space and permit are provided. Participants bring their own tables and table covers,
displays, and chairs. ACK will provide a $5 token for food/beverages at Tina Marie’s Café
Is there Electric and Water Hookup?
There is limited electric hookup, but no water. You must tape down your electric cord and
keep it out of the walkways.
What is Set-up and Teardown Time?
Set-up begins at 3:30 PM and teardown no earlier than 9 PM.
Is There a Deadline for Registration?
Deadline for registration is the Wednesday before ArtWalk. Forms and waivers must be
signed and accepted, and payment must be made. Please download forms at
kernarts.org/ArtWalk. Forms are also available at ACK office {address below).

artwalk@kernarts.org. Payment may be made by mail or in person, if preferred, at 1020 18th Street. Bakersfield 93301 (Wednesday-Friday)

Registration is open until 4 pm the Wednesday before ArtWalk.
