Empowering youth through music, mentorship, and creative expression.

ABOUT

Arts4Rehabilitation

The APEX Youth Arts for Rehabilitation Program (A4R) offers a transformative approach to supporting youth in the juvenile justice system through the power of creativity, mentorship, and career exploration. Developed by the Arts Council of Kern in partnership with California Resources Corporation and the County of Kern, APEX provides consistent, hands-on programming that helps participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and discover new possibilities for their future. Through a unique blend of hip-hop lyric writing, storytelling, culinary arts training, and immersive career experiences, youth are given the tools to express themselves, develop practical skills, and envision life beyond incarceration.
