Art Sherwyn
For over 40 years, Art Sherwyn has been dedicated to unlocking creative potential through visual art. A celebrated high school art teacher, he’s earned top honors including the Disney American Teacher Award, California Art Educator of the Year, and National Secondary Art Educator of the Year. His expertise has made him a sought-after speaker at conferences on art, education, and leadership.
Through engaging workshops, retreats, and lectures, Art empowers participants to break from convention, embrace failure, and find emotional freedom through the artistic process.
Ryan Rickard
An interdisciplinary artist and educator residing in Bakersfield Ca, Ryan holds a BFA in printmaking from California College of Art and Design. His book binding class will focus on the process of the Coptic stitch book structure. With emphasis on technical process, each student can adapt their new skills to their own practice. Every student will construct their own Coptic stitched book to keep.
Em Radmacher
A lifetime of writing practices at her back, Radmacher has 35 years of experience in
her own production art company, decades of inspiring groups to connect with their
creative capacities, editorial expertise for a former U.S. president, more than a dozen
published books and words that appear in countless forms around the world. Her
proprietary curricula and engaging training style challenge writerly and creative
populations, and unlock creative possibilities in those exploring various arts.
She is included in the Oxford Dictionary of American Quotations. She likes dogs and
appreciates a good cup of coffee.Â
