Cutting Edge
SUBMISSION FORM:
The Arts Council of Kern invites local artists to submit artwork for Cutting Edge: Beyond the Canvas, a gallery exhibition celebrating alternative and unconventional art forms. From custom skateboard decks to metalworks, sculptural builds, mixed-material creations, and more, this show highlights artists who push the boundaries of traditional mediums and redefine what art can be.
The exhibition will run February 20th – March 6th, showcasing selected works alongside the show’s featured lead artist. All levels of experience are welcome to apply.
Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration. Each submission will be reviewed by an Arts Council of Kern curator to determine acceptance into the exhibition. Artwork should clearly connect with the theme of alternative forms of artwork.
An entry fee of $10 per piece applies. Prizes will be awarded to First, Second, and Third Place winners.

Online submissions are open now through February 13th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST.
