Join us for an unforgettable journey,

into the heart of Native American culture with retired spiritual leader Eugene Albitre. Since his teens, Gene has been a master of rawhide, transforming buffalo, elk, deer, and more into incredible creations. Gene’s craft ensures nothing from nature goes to waste, from rattles to drums, cookware to intricate beading.

Executive Director to Executive Director,

Nora and I were delighted to collaborate on a year-long partnership to learn from the Arts Council of Kern’s COMMON GROUND—a celebration of First People’s arts to build community engagement. Our first venture into this cerebration showcased the arts and teachings of Eugene Albitre at Maturango Museum.

His session was held on Saturday, July 8th, from 10 am-2 pm in Ridgecrest, CA, in the eastern corner of Kern County.
