Thank You NEA, CAC, and Kern County
Arts education and innovation are vital to the progression of society. On a large scale, the arts deepen our understanding of culture; to enhance and appreciate life.
By expressing creative endeavors, artists allow us to expand our self-awareness and offer insight into who we are and who we can become. We open our minds and hearts to new ideas and experiences through the arts—to possibility.
Since 1977 the Arts Council of Kern has supported and funded the ideas and projects of individual artists and organizations around Kern County. Through our programming and grants, we have been able to help local artists make an impact here in Kern County and beyond.
We do what we do with the support of the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA), California Arts Council (CAC), and closer to home, Kern County. Through grants and support provided by these three entities, artists and visionaries are bringing their projects to fruition, making Kern County a better place to live.
What is a Grant?
A grant is a form of funding nonprofits receive to fund ideas and projects. Many of these projects trickle down to enhance the lives of children, adults, and special needs organizations. Grant funding enables ACK to support projects in underserved areas of the county and help raise the profile of less visible arts enterprises.
The grant funding from the NEA, CAC, and Kern County allows ACK to maintain operations so we can continue to bolster the arts. We appreciate the support that is integral to our success and the success of the artists we serve.
NEA, CAC, and Kern County. On behalf of the Kern County artists and arts organizations we serve, we thank you. We appreciate all you do.
